    Two related problems are fixed by this APAR:
    1. A java.util.EmptyStackException is thrown when accessing an
    injected field of type javax.enterprise.inject.Instance that
    is created by a producer method that uses
    javax.enterprise.inject.spi.InjectionPoint as a parameter.
    2. A java.lang.ClassCastException is thrown when resolving an
    injected field of type javax.inject.Provider.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The CDI implementation was modified to correctly inject and
    access instances of Instance and Provider. To enable the fix
    for this APAR, the following JVM custom property must be set
    to "true": (default=false)
    com.ibm.ws.webbeans.trackInjectionPointsWithStack
