Error description
In WebSphere Application Server testing, we are hitting an orbtrc issue that can be attributed to the lrcmd.sh script invoking both client and Application Server code. This issue is leading to the creation of an orbtrc file on every invocation of the lrcmd.sh script. The orbtrc file contains the following security exception: org.omg.CORBA.NO_PERMISSION: JSAS0455A: Unable to login principal, invalid authentication information. In addtion tothis orbtrc, depending on how the sas.client.props is configured, you could see additional prompting to for user/pw eventhough user/pw are already passed in as parameters to the script.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Orbtrc file is generated each time * * lrcmd.sh is invoked * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The client that the lrcmd.sh invokes is not initalized to run as a standlone client.
Problem conclusion
The client and the script have been updated so that they can be invoked as a truly standalone client, without pulling in WebShere Application Server internal classes. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.2.
