APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is using WebSphere Compute Grid V8.0 with fFxes PI05557
  and PI07556 and and set GRID_ENDPOINT_ENCODE_JOBLOG to 'true'
  in their pre-production cell,  they noticed a considerable
  growth of IOs in the scheduler.
  Also, they can't delete jobs via JMC, IO of scheduler goes up
  and we get a timeout then.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: High I/O on the Job Scheduler when      *

  Attempting to purge job logs with a large number of parts
  causes high I/O on the Job Scheduler.
  

Problem conclusion

• The purge process on the Job Scheduler has been optimized to
  eliminate unnecessary I/O operations.  The fix for this APAR
  is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpack 8.0.0.4.
