Putting server in maintenance mode (MM) under load results in
503 error

*                      server in a point cell into             *
*                      maintenance mode                        *

After a dynamic cluster member in a point cell is placed into
maintenance mode, HTTP requests to applications on this
cluster may get status code 503.

Problem conclusion

The problem occurs as a result of incorrectly checking the
status of servers in the point cell.  The code has
been fixed to check the status correctly.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 8.5.5.3. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
