Error description

• On Microsoft Windows, if a war file is deployed in Liberty
  Profile and it contains a WEB-INF/ibm-web-ext.xmi file and
  Liberty Profile is configured with a certain set of features,
  the war file is locked even after un-deploying it and it
  cannot be deleted.

  When applications contain deployment descriptor files, the
  application file on Microsoft Windows operating systems
  suffers from a file lock such that when the application is
  removed from the server.xml you are still unable to delete the
  application file from the filesystem.
  

Problem conclusion

• When a deplyment descriptor file; ibm-web-ext.xmi for
  example; was parsed an InputStream was created but never
  closed.  This stream is now closed after completion of the
  parsing.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.3. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
