Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server wanting to obtain command * * assistance required for adding user/group * * roles. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Not all commands that the console * * issues are displayed when a * * user or group is added to a role. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Read the documenation that explains what * * must be done when adding a user or group * * to * * a role. * **************************************************************** Not all mBean calls are logged as command assistance. The mBean calls associated with adding users or groups to roles did not log command assistance.
Problem conclusion
The console now calls the correct invoke to log command assistance for adding users or groups to roles. Although the command is now logged, you must enable "Log commmand assistance commands" in the console preferences panel of System Administration. Although the command assistance may not be seen in command assistance panel, it is logged to the log file. This MBean is run during the "Save" of the config, not when the Map Users admin task is run. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.4.
