Problem summary

*                      findByPrimaryKey method error.          *

In rare instances, calling the findByPrimaryKey method on an
entity bean results in a java.lang.ClassCastException. When
this occurs, a javax.ejb.FinderException should be thrown
instead.

Problem conclusion

A custom property com.ibm.ws.pm.forceEJBFinderException was
introduced into persistence manager.  When
com.ibm.ws.pm.forceEJBFinderException is set to true, a
javax.ejb.FinderException will be thrown when a
java.lang.ClassCastException occurs on a findByPrimaryKey
call.  This custom property is not enabled by default.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.35, 8.0.0.10, and 8.5.5.4. Please refer to the
