APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If a remotely-managed keystore configuration is created in
    WebSphere Application Server, the keystore is inaccessible if
    created at certain scopes, regardless of whether the keystore
    file itself was created by WebSphere Application Server or
    not.
    

Local fix

  • Change the keystore to be centrally-managed
    

Problem summary

    *                  keystore at server or cluster scope.        *

    The console allows you to configure a remotely managed
    keystore at server and cluster scope even though it is not
    possible to access it.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The console now prevents you from configuring a remotely
    managed keystore when you are in a server or cluster scope.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.5.5.4.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
    page for delivery information:
