APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When WAB bundles are stopped/restarted, the WebSphere Liberty
  Profile server will erroneously retain references to the
  previous instances of the WAB, which is a memory leak.

  Memory footprint increases each time a WAB is restarted as
  references to the previous instance are retained.
  

Problem conclusion

• Instances of ApplicationInfo created via the
  ApplicationInfoFactory service are now destroyed when
  uninstalled from the web container.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.3. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
