Create WAS Windows service using local user, then change the user to domain user from services panel once profile created
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server who create a profile on Microsoft * * Windows and who choose to start the * * profile as a service. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Profile Management Tool may not * * complete if you specify a domain user * * id to run the profile as a Microsoft * * Windows service. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Use the system id or specify a local user * * id when running a WebSphere profile as a * * Microsoft Windows service. * **************************************************************** When you use Profile Management Tool (PMT) to create a new profile then there is an option on Microsoft Windows machines to run the profile as a Windows service. You may run the service under the System user id or you may specify another id. If you try to specify a domain id then it may not be possible to complete the task with PMT.
