  • Creating a Microsoft Windows service with a domain user during
profile creation is not a supported feature. However, it is an
issue that PMT screen is frozen when a domain user is used.

Local fix

  • Create WAS Windows service using local user, then change
the user to domain user from services panel once profile created

When you use Profile Management Tool (PMT) to create a new
profile then there is an option on Microsoft Windows machines
to run the profile as a Windows service. You may run the
service under the System user id or you may specify another
id. If you try to specify a domain id then it may not be
possible to complete the task with PMT.

Problem conclusion

  • When you try to enter a domain user id Profile Management Tool
    will display an error message.
