PI17680: SIPAPPLICATIONSESSIONS ACCUMULATE AFTER BYE TRANSACTION IF REINVITE TRANSACTION NOT RESPONDED TO

Error description

A call is set up between 2 UAs.  The caller sends a
reINVITE to the callee.  The callee does not send a response
to the reINVITE but instead sends a BYE.  The caller gets the
BYE and sends 200 OK. The SipApplicationSession is never
invalidated.

When BYE is sent before reINVITE transaction completed,
Server and Client transaction objects will remain in the
memory.

Problem conclusion

We now remove the Client and Server transaction when the
session dies in the case when BYE is received in reINVITE.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 8.0.0.7 and 8.5.5.4.  Please refer to the
