APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a password is configured on a Connection Factory, it will
be encoded and saved in the resources.xml file. When the
Connection Factory is used to establish a connection to the
resource, the password is sent in encoded format instead of
    being decoded.
The connection will fail because the backend resource does not
understand the encoded password. The following error may be
    generated:
javax.jms.JMSSecurityException: User name [test] or password is
    invalid.

    ****************************************************************
When a password is configured on a Connection Factory or
Administered Objects, it will be encoded and saved in the
resources.xml file. The password is not decoded in the runtime
and hence it fails to establish a connection.
    The following error is generated:
javax.jms.JMSSecurityException: User name [test] or password is
    invalid.

Problem conclusion

  • The password is now decoded in the runtime and the decoded
password is used in connection requests.
