APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a fix pack is applied to WebSphere Application Server, the
  com.ibm.ws.orb_7.0.0.jar is not updated with the most current
  Java SDK ORB libraries.
  

Local fix

• No workaround when using thin client libraries and non-IBM SDK.
  Can workaround by running application in WebSphere Application
  Server environment.
  Also, can workaround when using the IBM SDK. This will work
  because the SDK will contain the up-to-date ORB libraries.
  

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The orb used with WebSphere             *

  * RECOMMENDATION:  Applying this APAR will update the          *
  *                  orb used in the thin clients and the orb    *
  *                  will also be updated in WebSphere           *
  *                  Application Server 7.0.0.35.                *

  Thin client orb was an old version.  The thin client orb has
  been updated in 7.0.0.35.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 7.0.0.35.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
