Error description
Issue with these 2 classes: com.ibm.webtools.runtime.StudioPervasiveServlet com.ibm.servlet.PageListServlet In WebSphere Application Server V6.1, both classes are packaged in the same com.ibm.ws.runtime_6.1.0.jar and it works fine. In WebSphere Application Server V8.5 the classes are packaged in two different jars: * com.ibm.webtools.runtime.StudioPervasiveServlet ---> WAS_HOME/plugins/com.ibm.ws.prereq.webtlsrn.jar * com.ibm.servlet.PageListServlet ---> WAS_HOME/plugins/com.ibm.ws.runtime.jar The "Import-Package" in the MANIFEST.MF of the com.ibm.ws.prereq.webtlsrn.jar need to be added to include the package "com.ibm.servlet". Note that the PageList Servlet custom extension is deprecated in WebSphere Application Server Version 8.5: "Configuring page list servlet client configurations" http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSCKBL_8.5.5/com.i bm.websphere.nd.multiplatform.doc/ae/tweb_ssplx.html

The JCM fails to define the StudioPervasiveServlet class because it cannot resolve the dependency on the PageListServlet class.
Problem conclusion
Apply APAR PI23501 to declare the import package dependency on com.ibm.servlet within OSGi bundle com.ibm.ws.prereq.webtlsrn.jar. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 8.5.5.4, 8.0.0.10, and 7.0.0.37.
