Error description

When REU=Y is specified, some requests which attempt to
over-ride the link task transaction ID will be allowed to
proceed, while others will fail.  All tasks which attempt to
over-ride the link task transaction ID should fail when REU=Y is
specified.

The CICS link server supplied with the WebSphere Optimized
Local Adapters (WOLA) allows the transaction ID used to dispach
work in CICS to be changed.  The default value is BBO#.  The
default can be changed when the link server is started, or can
be changed by each request processed by the link server.
Request level changes to the transaction ID can be made by
specifying the "LinkTaskTranID" property on a WOLA connection
factory, or by calling setLinkTaskTranID() on the WOLA
ConnectionSpecImpl object.  When the link server is started
with the parameter REU=Y, the transaction ID cannot be changed
by an individual request because the link task is re-used for
each request.
In some cases, the link task transaction ID passed by a request
is ignored by the link server.  This can cause some requests
to complete successfully, even though they should have been
rejected because REU=Y was specified.

Problem conclusion

Code was added to reject requests that attempt to change the
link task transaction ID when REU=Y is specified.

APAR PI23547 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs
7.0.0.37, 8.0.0.10 and 8.5.5.4 of WebSphere Application Server
for z/OS.
