Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Missing elements in scenarios with an * * original node and it's copy both * * being in the same tree * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Elements would be missing from the copied tree and result in data corruption. This happens only when an original node and it's copy reside in the same tree.
Problem conclusion
Problem was caused by mistaking an original node for it's copy and vice versa. Changes were made to detect when a copied node moves into the same tree as it's original node. The new algorithm handles the scenario differently to avoid data corruption. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 8.0.0.10 and 8.5.5.4.
