APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The Authentication Cache cleanup task is stopped when the User
  Registry Service is activated after the Authentication Cache
  due to DS timing.  The User Registry Service starts before the
  Authentication Cache Service under normal conditions.

  The Authentication Cache cleanup task is stopped when the User
  Registry Service is activated after the Authentication Cache due
  to DS timing.  The User Registry Service starts before the
  Authentication Cache Service under normal conditions.
  

Problem conclusion

• The Authentication Cache code was modified to not stop the
  cleanup task when there is a change to the User Registry
  configuration.
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
  pack 8.5.5.4.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for

Temporary fix

• Modify the Authentication Cache configuration in server.xml.
