APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In WebSphere Application Server V7 release when updating an
  enterprise application using the JMX api and inputting a war
  module for this update operation it throws a
  ClassCastException message . App management code was expecting
  an ear module as a input file instead of a war module.
  

Local fix

• input entire ear module instead of war module.

  the extension codes receive a ClassCastException when calling
  the DeployableObject.getHandle method. The exception would be
  similar to the following:

Problem conclusion

• The getHandle logic to handle module file updates has been
  corrected.
