Error description
The @Produces annotation method on class results in a non-NULL injectionpoint instance on the first invocation. Subsequent calls of the method in which the injectionpoint is called will show that the injectionpoint instance is null.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V8.0 and v8.5 using CDI * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The @Produces annotation method on * * class results in a non-NULL * * injectionpoint instance on the first * * invocation. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** If a Contextual Bean Reference is obtained programmatically via the BeanManager interface and that Bean is created using an @Producer method which includes an @InjectionPoint injected parameter, then that injected InjectionPoint should be null. In some cases it is not null and an InjectionPoint instance is incorrectly injected.
Problem conclusion
A "NullInjectionPoint" has been pushed onto the stack of injection points stored on the thread and we now ensure the InjectionPoint is null. APAR PI27526 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs 8.0.0.11 and 8.5.5.6 of WebSphere Application Server.
