  Under some circumstances, users would see messages resembling
  the following in their logs:
  
  
  java.lang.NullPointerException
      at
  com.ibm.ws.threading.internal.ThreadPoolController.evaluateInter
  val(ThreadPoolController.java:630)
      at
  com.ibm.ws.threading.internal.IntervalTask.run(ThreadPoolControl
  ler.java:763)
      at
  java.util.Timer$TimerImpl.run(Timer.java:296)
  

Problem conclusion

• This was due to a timing race between the ThreadPoolController
  and interval task timer tasks. We have modified the code to
  prevent this conflict.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently
  targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.4.  Please refer to the
