  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • WebSphere Application Server 8.5.

The following steps may be taken to recreate the scenario:

    1. The Automatic Placement Controller (APC) is running on NA1
(Nodeagent 1) and the node is set maintenance mode.

    2. The APC moves to NA2 (Nodeagent 2).

    3. Later NA1 is set to normal mode and APC moves back to NA1.

Now the nodes and clusters information on APC is missing, as
evidenced by this message in the apc.log files:

    Cluster Resource Allocation:
     No data

At this point, APC is no longer working effectively.

Local fix

  • Restart nodeagent.
