    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The negative value of the Queue-Size PMI counter was due to an
    intermittent NullPointerException thrown due to a certain race
    condition.

Problem conclusion

  • The issue was solved by solving the race condition so that the
    NullPointerException will not be thrown, and thus no negative
    value for the Queue-Size PMI counter is possible.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.5.5.5. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
