Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server Liberty Core * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Avoid having to create member node when * * cluster name is empty or null. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** We should not try to create a member node when cluster name is empty or null. When clusterName is empty, it think sys.members as clusterName so it is creating and deleting sys.members which end up deleting all the clusters. All members and clusters in the collective are removed when the problem occurred.
Problem conclusion
We now avoid creating a member node path when cluster name is empty or null. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.5. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
