Error description

• When the com.ibm.ws.kernel.boot jar file has been updated
  and delivered in an interim fix, it is possible that the
  featureManager command will report a ClassNotFoundException.

  When the com.ibm.ws.kernel.boot jar file has been updated and
  delivered in an interim fix, it is possible that the
  featureManager command will report a ClassNotFoundException.
  

Problem conclusion

• The kernel has been modified such that the kernel boot jar is
  selected and added to the classpath without checking for the
  presence of the original jar file as this has been overwritten
  by the interim fix.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
  pack 8.5.5.4.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
  delivery information:
