    ****************************************************************
Moving or renaming the Liberty profile wlp install directory
causes the server to re-install and resolve all Liberty profile
components each time the server is restarted.

Problem conclusion

  • The Liberty profile server cache has been fixed to properly
detect a change in the install directory. This results in a one
time performance hit when restarting a server to reestablish the
proper cache with the new Liberty profile install directory
    location.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for
inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.5. Please refer to the Recommended
    Updates page for delivery information:
    http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980

Temporary fix

  • After renaming or moving the liberty installation folder then
remove the folder named workarea/ from each configured server
directory in the liberty installation. Removing the workarea/
directory will force the liberty cache to be reestablished based
on the new install directory location.
