Error description

  • Applications containing startup beans or message-driven beans
    (where there are messages waiting on the queue) that use CDI
    injection may result in an
    javax.enterprise.inject.UnsatisfiedResolutionException during
    application startup. This occurs despite having the
    com.ibm.ws.cdi.immediate.ejb.start property added in PM62774
    specified and only when the application is deployed using
    loose config e.g. directly from Eclipse tooling.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When using loose config the application meta-data returns
    different values when taken from the application versus the EAR
    file. This results in CDI beans being registered under one name
    and looked up under another.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix has been made that ensures the same application name is
    used during bean registration and resolution.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 8.0.0.11 and 8.5.5.6. Please refer to the
