Error description

  • A new DMZ proxy installation has files/directories owned by an
    unexpected user ID.

Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED:  DMZ Proxy users on z/OS who created a new   *
    *                  installation since 8.5.5.4                  *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Files/Directories of a new DMZ          *
    *                      Proxy installation may be owned         *
    *                      by an unexpected user/group             *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:  Apply this fix to prevent the wrong         *
    *                  permissions being set on new proxy          *
    *                  installations.                              *
    ****************************************************************
    If a new DMZ Proxy installation was created after upgrading to
    8.5.5.4 and the nobody user exists, ownership of the
    installation directory is changed to the nobody user and its
    primary group.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The permissions issue has been resolved.
    This fix is targeted for WebSphere Application Server fix packs:
    - 8.5.5.5
