APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When we deploy an EAR including resource adapter (RAR) and RAR
  contains custom property of J2C activation specification, we
  can confirm it at the first deployment. But the property is
  deleted when we update the EAR even if the updated EAR also
  contains the custom property.
  

Local fix

• Uninstall old ear, then install updated ear

  If the Activation Specification has both required config
  properties and config properties, the config properties were
  deleted as they were checked against required config
  properties.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code has been changed check the Activation Specification
  properties against required config properties and config
  properties.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.6.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
