APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In rare scenarios a duplicate call will be made to the Virtual
  Member Manager (VMM) property extension database.  In such a
  scenario a race condition occurs.  One of the two threads will
  complete successfully.  The second thread with the duplicate
  call will never complete successfully and instead end up
  causing an excessive number of SQL calls to the property
  extension database.

  VMM tries 25 attempts to create DB and LA entity if it fails
  with duplicate key exception with constraint violation. But
  when there is no constraint violation it keeps trying to
  create entities for an amount infinite time.
  

Problem conclusion

• VMM will now throw a DuplicateKeyException if the call fails
  with no constraint violation.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 8.0.0.11 and 8.5.5.7  Please refer to the
