Error description

• When stopping a server that has the scalingMember feature
  enabled, the server process might hang due to deadlocks
  caused by in flight messages still being processed during
  the shutdown phase.  The deadlock could occur in a variety
  of areas based on state of the message processing when the
  shutdown occurs.

  When stopping a server that has the scalingMember feature
  enabled, the server process might hang due to deadlocks caused
  in flight messages still being processed during the shutdown
  phase.
  

Problem conclusion

• The scaling member code was selectively synchronized to avoid
  sending messages after it has been notified the shutdown process
  has been initiated to avoid certain deadlock conditions.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
  pack 8.5.5.6.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
