Error description

• /apps/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/bin/sibDBUpgrade.sh[61]:
  syntax error at line 134 : ´(' unexpected
  

Local fix

• Please edit the script
  /apps/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/bin/sibDBUpgrade.sh and
  remove the lines from line 1 to line 59 (inclusive)
  
  After that save the changes and execute the script.

  When using the sibDBUpgrade script to generate the DDL for
  service integration bus (SIB) tables when migrating from a
  lower version to WebSphere Application Server V8.5.5 the
  script throws exceptions on AIX operating systems.
  

Problem conclusion

• The script has been modified to run correctly on AIX operating
  systems.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.8.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
  page for delivery information:
