Error description
WebSphere Application Server z/OS issues message BBOO0327I when a timeout occurs on a WebSphere Managed Thread. Work running on z/OS is classified using zWLM workload classification rules. Message BBOO0327I does not include the following 3 pieces of information which would be useful in diagnosing why the timeout occurred: - Transaction Class - Service Class - Report Class This information should be included in the BBOO0327I message if it is available.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V8.0 and V8.5 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WebSphere Application server for z/OS * * timeout message BBOO0327I needs * * additional WLM information. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** For each request queued through WLM to a Servant for dispatch a WLM Enclave is created. Associated with the WLM Enclave is a transaction class, service class, and report class. WLM manages resources to meet goals and record results based on these values. They are often needed to understand what occurred during a requests life-cycle.
Problem conclusion
Code has been added to extract the WLM transaction class, service class, and report class if available. The extracted values will be added to the existing BBOO0327I message. The following is an example of the updated timeout message: BBOO0327I HTTP REQUEST TIMEOUT: (0047):(FFFFFDEB):(0001001D):(008CBE00):(STC00133):(2015/04/28 15:21:55.412044):(2015/04/28 15:21:55.435305):(2015/04/28 15:21:55.436579):(RemoteWebContainer):(httprequest):(ip addr=9.57.152.109 port=64727):(IVTTC ,WASIVT ,RPTIVT ):():(/ivt/ivtDate.jsp) Where "(IVTTC ,WASIVT ,RPTIVT )" represents the transaction class, service class, and report class for an HTTP request which has timed out. APAR PI40209 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs 8.0.0.11 and 8.5.5.7 of WebSphere Application Server.
