Error description

  • When starting WebSphere Application Server Developer Edition
    version 8.5.5.5 from Rational Application Developer version 9,
    getting error

Problem summary

    WebSphere Application Server V8.5.5.5 included additional code
    to look for realm name in case it is not found in the security
    configuration.  This behavior may cause the reported error if
    security is disabled and WebSphere is running as non-admin.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been changed to not to look for a realm name when
    security is disabled.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 7.0.0.41, 8.0.0.12 and 8.5.5.8.  Please refer to the
    Recommended Updates
