Problem summary

• ****************************************************************
  * USERS AFFECTED:  WebSphere Application Server users of a     *
  *                  JAX-WS web service with a CDATA section in  *
  *                  a SOAP message.                             *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Web service engine's default behavior   *
  *                      is to create a StAX parser in           *
  *                      coaelescing mode. This will cause the   *
  *                      CDATA section to not be preserved.      *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  A JVM property will be added to allow customers to disable
  coaelescing during StAX parser creation and keep CDATA.
  

Problem conclusion

• JVM property com.ibm.ws.websvcs.disableCOALESCING is provided
  with a default value of false. Set the value to true to keep
  CDATA section.
