Error description

• If a user enters the wrong loglevel like adding a period at
  the end of the trace string , then it will not generate trace.

  If a user enters the wrong loglevel, then it will not generate
  trace. For example:
  *=info:com.ibm.ejs.ras.*=all. then com.ibm.ejs.ras will be
  discarded , as we used period after "all"
  

Problem conclusion

• Fix has been added to discard specific period characters.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 8.0.0.12 and 8.5.5.8.  Please refer to the
  Recommended Updates page for delivery information:
