Error description

  • Due to a packaging error, the batchManager script was
    shipped

in ASCII when it should be in EBCDIC for Liberty profile

    8.5.5.7.

Local fix

  • Convert the file to EBCDIC on the file system (e.g. using
    iconv).

    ****************************************************************
Script would not run on z/OS because it installed as ASCII
    ENCODING instead of EBCDIC.

Problem conclusion

  • The solution is to update the batchManagement-1.0.mf feature
    manifest to specify an ibm.file.encoding

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 8.5.5.8. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
    delivery information:
    http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980

    the script.
