APAR status

Error description

  • The ddlGen script was erroneously shipped in ASCII instead
    of
    EBCDIC in Liberty 8.5.5.7.
    

Local fix

  • Convert the script locally to EBCDIC with iconv.

    A feature configuration was missing to indicate that this script
    should be encoded in EBCDIC for zOS
    

Problem conclusion

  • With this fix, a configuration update was made to indicate that
    this script should be encoded in EBCDC for zOS.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
    pack 8.5.5.9.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
    delivery information:

Temporary fix

  • The ddlGen script can be manually translated to EBCDIC and will
    then be able to be run on zOS.
