When running productInfo command no validation on the option, but we do only on the action. The following command doesn't give error and also doesn't list ifxes installed ./productInfo version -ifixes The Correct command is ./productInfo version --ifixes

If you run the productInfo script with an invalid command, an appropriate error is displayed. However if you run the script with a valid command but an invalid option, the command will not run and no error will be displayed. An example of an invocation with a valid command but invalid option is: productInfo validate --thisIsABadOption
Problem conclusion
Code was changed so that an appropriate error message is displayed when the productInfo script is invoked with a valid command but invalid option. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.9.
