Error description

  • Performing a delete cluster or appserver command will fail
    if a composition unit belonging to a non-existent enterprise
    application is left in the repository.

    Performing a delete cluster or application server operation
    would fail if a composition unit belonging to a non-existent
    enterprise application is left in the configuration. The
    following exception occurs:
    Failed to delete cluster:
    com.ibm.ws.management.commands.cluster.ClusterConfigException:
    ADMG9212E: Exception caught executing deleteCluster command:
    com.ibm.websphere.management.exception.ConfigServiceException:
    ADMG0011E: An unexpected exception  occurred
    com.ibm.websphere.management.exception.AdminException:
    Exception in removeTargetFromCUs().
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code is updated to allow the delete operation to continue
    when a composition unit belonging to an non-existent enterprise
    application is detected.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 7.0.0.41, 8.0.0.13, and 8.5.5.9.  Please refer to the
