APAR status

Error description

• Ø
  CICS registers zOS Connect services dynamically using the
  SPI.
  When accessing the services from a browser, the user is not
  prompted for userid and password, even with the following
  configured in server.xml:
  
  
  
  The request fails with Error 403: AuthorizationFailed
  
  However, when a service is registered via the
  zosConnectService
  element in server.xml, the prompt is returned.
  

Local fix

• register the service via the zosConnectService element in
  server.xml

  When registering z/OS Connect services dynamically using the
  SPI, authentication on access to that service may not work
  correctly. The root of the issue is that the auth process does
  not maintain the authenticated user on the request subject.
  

Problem conclusion

• The authentication process has been modified to always use the
  authenticated user on the request subject.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
  pack 8.5.5.9.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
  delivery information:
