Error description

  • When an exception is encountered in a batch job or step,
    resulting in failure, the exception stack trace is not
    logged to the job log.

    resulting in failure, the exception stack trace is not logged to
    the job log.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code was changed to include the exception stack trace in the
    batch job log in the event of a step or job failure.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
    pack 8.5.5.9.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
