Error description

• When running the manageprofiles command, profilePath related
  error messages can occur for numerous reasons. Unfortunately,
  the same generic message is generated which is of minimal use
  in problem determination.

  Profile path related errors can occur for a variety of
  reasons. Related logfiles however only contain a generic
  "Profile path is invalid" message.
  

Problem conclusion

• Additional profile path related tracing has been added to the
  manageprofiles logs. Specifically, specified or defaulted
  profile path values referencing non-empty or non-writeable
  locations, or values specifying an invalid drive letter (on
  Microsoft Windows operating systems), are now traced with
  sufficient detail for problem resolution.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 7.0.0.43, 8.0.0.13 and 8.5.5.10.  Please refer to
