Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server Full * * Profile version 8.5.5. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The JavaServer Pages (JSP) Batch * * Compiler fails to compile JSP files * * in the same folder with option * * -compileAfterFailure set to true when * * there is a compilation error and a * * warning in at least one of the JSP * * files. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When using the JSP Batch Compiler with option -compileAfterFailure set to true, if there is a compilation error and a compiler warning in a particular JSP file, the remaining JSP files after the failure might not be compiled. For example: The following JSP files are in folder XYZ of a web module: test1.jsp test2.jsp test3.jsp test4.jsp If test2.jsp has a compilation error and a compiler warning, files test3.jsp and test4.jsp might not be compiled; even with option -compileAfterFailure set to true. File test1.jsp will be compiled because its compilation happened before the problem was found in test2.jsp.
Problem conclusion
The JSP Batch Compiler code was modified to continue to compile subsequent JSP files in a directory after a compilation error and a compiler warning in at least one JSP file. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.10.
