Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server WAS ND edition- Virtual * * Enterprise/IM Component * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: On running the python script * * workclassoperations.py from * * wsadmin.sh/bat command, it fails due to * * missing the class java.lang.String. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The execution of "wsadmin.sh -lang python -f workclassoperations.py" fails because it cannot find java.lang.String. Typically, there is another python script which runs first on the invocation of wsadmin.sh/bat. And, this python script imports java first and paves the path for workclassoperations.py. However, this script may not be invoked under certain condition. The script workclassoperations.py should have its own "import java" declaration, and not depend on the set up.
Problem conclusion
Added the statement "import java" to the script workclassoperations.py. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.10. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
