APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using websockets with the web server plugin, sockets may
  accumulate in the CLOSE_WAIT state.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  When websockets traffic passes thru the web server plugin,
  plugin may not properly close the socket. You will see
  connections in a CLOSE_WAIT state in netstat that never go
  away until the web server is stopped.
  

Problem conclusion

• Plugin was not closing the socket which caused these
  connections to never complete. Modified code to close the
  connections.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.10.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
