APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
When the transport layer is using a non-default SSL configuration, any defined iiopEndpoint must also have an iiopsOptions definition which points to the same sslRef as the transport layer. When this is not done, the resulting error message is unclear as to how to resolve the problem.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server Liberty - Security * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: IIOP SsslRef mismatch not clear in * * error message * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When the inbound CSIv2 transport layer has an SSL configuration that does not match the one used by the IIOP endpoint, the error message for the IllegalStateException issued does not indicate what the cause of the problem is or how to fix the problem. An example of the message being fixed is as follows: CNTR4002E: The yourEJB.jar EJB module in the yourApplication application failed to start. Exception: com.ibm.ws.exception.RuntimeError: java.lang.IllegalStateException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: No transport addressses configured for sslAlias: yourSSLConfig with supports: 102 and requires: 6
Problem conclusion
The code was modified to include a translated message when the inbound CSIv2 transport layer SSL configuration does not match an SSL configuration in the IIOP endpoint. Also, a new translated message was created to be issued when the inbound CSIv2 transport layer uses an SSL configuration, but the IIOP endpoint does not have an iiopsOptions element with an SSL configuration. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 16.0.0.3. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
Temporary fix
Ensure that the inbound CSIv2 transport layer has an SSL configuration that the IIOP endpoint also uses.
