PI61592: Security context not propagated into JCA resource adapter

Error description

The appserver Liberty 8.5.5.9 is properly secured, so a call
to
HttpServletRequest.getUserPrincipal().toString() returns the
developer's user ID, The appserver is not configured for
SSO,
rather with the underlying user registry basic
authentication
is used.
Now after logon when the test application is calling the RA
a
call to subject.getPrincipals().iterator() is empty. So it
appears as if the security context is not or not properly
propagated into the RA.

Attempting to obtain the principal from the subject in the
resource adapter does not return the principal of the current
invocation subject.

Problem conclusion

The code was modified to include a copy of the principal of the
current invocation subject in the subject used by the resource
adapter when opening connections to backend resources such as
databases.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 16.0.0.3.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
