*                      is disabled when the clearMemory API    *
*                      is invoked.                             *

The clearMemory API was introduced to clear a cache without
propagating invalidations to other members of a replication
domain.  It was intended to be used when the application server
was stopped.  When an application invokes the clearMemory API
the disk offload feature is disabled.

Problem conclusion

A new JVM custom property is being introduced that will
prevent the disk offload feature from being disabled when the
DistributedMap clearMemory API is invoked.

From the administrative console navigate to:
Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers >
server_name, and then, under Server Infrastructure, click Java
and process management > Process definition > Java virtual
machine > Custom properties

Create a new custom property named
com.ibm.ws.cache.CacheConfig.ignoreDiskoffloadSettingOnClearMemo
ry with a value of true.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.43, 8.0.0.13, 8.5.5.11 and 9.0.0.1. Please
