    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Processing of Contexts and Dependency *
    * Injection (CDI) type annotations does *
    * not process upgrade handler classes. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The processing of Contexts and Dependency Injection (CDI) type
    annotations may not process annotations on classes which
    implement type "javax.servlet.http.HttpUpgradeHandler".  This
    results in a failure to notice CDI annotations on such
    classes, and causes incomplete CDI functionality.

Problem conclusion

  • Code which selects classes for annotation processing was
    updated to properly include upgrade handler classes as classes
    which are to be processed for annotations.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 9.0.0.1. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
