When logs are rotated often, based on file size, a deadlock
occurs, when there is a circular dependency between threads that
contend for the SystemOutStream.logMessage() and synchronized
Tr.dispatchIntervalEvents() methods. There is a deadlock between
the following threads:

Problem conclusion

The deadlock issue was resolved by reducing the amount of
synchronization from the Tr.dispatchInternalEvents() method,
which would reduce the possibility of needing to lock the Tr
class, when logs are rotated often.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 8.5.5.11 and 9.0.0.2.  Please refer to the
